| Over five hundred (500) balikbayans and Americans from all over the United States joined Ambassador Albert del Rosario, Consul General Cecilia Rebong and other Consuls General in the United States and Tourism Director Emma Ruth Yulo-Kitiyakara last July 13 - 19 for the first Philippine Ambassador's & Consuls' General Tour of the Philippines. Fourty-eight of the 500 tour participants were from the tri-state area. Participants toured top tourism sites in the national capital, including: Luneta Park and Intramuros, the Gold Coin Museum and the newly renovated Ayala Museum. The participants also visited Malacanang Palace where they were treated as special guests by no less than President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and several members of her cabinet. |
