New SF Consulate General Staff Members

Mr. Ireneo Fidel Cornista, Jr. Ms. Rose Paz Narvaja

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco announces the latest addition to its roster of personnel. Mr. Irineo Fidel Z. Cornista and Ms. Rose Paz C. Narvaja arrived in San Francisco on 24 August 2007. They are the newest members of the SF Consulate General team. For the duration of their assignment in San Francisco, Mr. Cornista is tasked as the Consulate’s new Protocol Officer while Ms. Narvaja will be an Assistant, in addition to their functions as Consular Assistants.

Prior to their posting in San Francisco, both Mr. Cornista and Ms. Narvaja worked with the Office of Presidential Protocol.

Ms. Narvaja began her career at the Department of Foreign Affair’s Office of Protocol and State Visits in 1999. She used to work with Landco Pacific, a real estate company in Parañaque. She finished Bachelor of Science major in Legal Management at the De La Salle University in Taft Avenue, Manila.

Mr. Irineo Fidel Z. Cornista, Jr. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Service. He started as Protocol Officer and Close-in to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs in 1993 and was detailed to the Office of the Presidential Protocol as Director in 1996. He returned to the DFA in 1999 and went back to the Office of the Presidential Protocol in 2001 again as Director to assist in the daily activities of the President.
