Deadline of Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) Search Extended

The deadline for submission of nominations to the Search for The Outstanding Filipino Award 2007 (TOFIL 2007) has been extended from August 31, 2007 to September 15, 2007.  Submissions could be initially  sent via fax, provided original copies of documents are received by the TOFIL Committee not later than September 25, 2007.

The announcement was made by JCI Sen. Victoriano V. Cruz, TOFIL Search Chairman, in response to several requests, particularly those coming overseas, for an extension of the deadline for the said Search. Nominations received after the deadline will be included in next year’s or subsequent TOFIL Search.

The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) Award is a project of the Insular Life Assurance Co. and the Philippine Jaycee Senate (JCI).  Established in 1988, it is aimed at institutionalizing public recognition of men and women whose exemplary achievements and significant contributions to society are worthy of emulation.

It is open to all Filipinos, natural born or naturalized citizens, 41 years of age and of good moral character,  whose dedication to his/her profession  or vocation has made significant contributions to the advancement of public welfare and national development.
