| SF Consulate Holiday Notice |

The Philippine Consulate General will be closed on August 20, Monday in observance of the Ninoy Aquino Day, and on August 27, Monday for the celebration of National Heroes Day. Consular services will resume the next working day following each of the said holidays.
Republic Act 9492 signed by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo on 24 July 2007 calls for the celebration of the Ninoy Aquino Day on a Monday nearest August 21 and the National Heroes Day on the last Monday of August.
Aside from these two holidays, the new law also adjusts the holiday observation to the nearest Monday of Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9, Labor Day on May 1, Independence Day on June 12, Bonifacio Day on November 30, and Rizal Day on December 30.
The Act also declares that holidays which fall on a Wednesday will be observed Monday of the same week, while holidays which fall on Sunday will be observed on the Monday that follows.
