WOW Philippines: World Of Weddings

A chance to experience the rich cultural heritage of Weddings in the Philippines takes place in San Francisco as the Filipino American Development Foundation (FADF), Esy Creations, and the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT), in cooperation with the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) , the San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center, (SFFCC), and the St. Patrick’s Parish Council, invite you to the first-ever KASAL PILIPINAS 2006 which will be held from August 11-13, 2006 at various locations in the city, namely: The Philippine Center Bldg. (447 Sutter Street), St. Patrick’s Church Social Hall, East Courtyard (756 Mission Street), and at the Bayanihan Community Center (1010 Mission Street).

The three-day wedding forum, dubbed with a theme of “Naiiba Talaga ang Kasal Pilipinas” (Weddings in the Philippines are indeed Extraordinary), aims to reach, educate, and promote not only to the Filipinos and the Filipino-Americans, but to the mainstream American public, the exceptional World of Weddings in the Philippines, and the Filipino Entrepreneurship in the booming wedding industry in the country. The first-ever KASAL PILIPINAS 2006 will feature a Community Reception, Wedding Exhibit and Bridal Show, a Business Mixer, as well as a Forum on wedding issues and concerns. There will also be a Press Conference and a Resource Directory Launching. Attendees of the KASAL PILIPINAS 2006 will also be exposed to the annual Pistahan Parade and Festival as well as other Filipino-American Community events.
